In 1910, Farmers and Merchants Bank of Wright City was founded by several local businessmen and residents. Since that time, the Bank has been owned and managed by local residents of the community. During the Great Depression of the 1930’s, Farmers and Merchants Bank was the only bank in Warren county to remain open – insuring its place as the oldest bank in the County.
I am Corwin S. Ruge, Jr., the latest Wright City resident to bear the title of President of FMB Bank – in fact, the 6th so privileged with this position. This is a very exciting time for us. Perhaps you have noticed that we are currently expanding our business space for the fourth time since our inception in 1910. In late spring of 2008, the expansion and remodel should be complete, giving us 7000 + square feet of space, real time customer transactions, and a host of other improvements for you, our customers.
In the interim, we apologize for any disorder and disruption this may cause you. As always, it is our intention to serve you and all of our customers with modern, convenient, professional and friendly banking amenities. Come in and see what “personal, friendly” service really means.
If I can be of service, please call!
